Hannah Aba Yankson

Hannah Aba Yankson whose presenting name is Hannah Yankson is a young dynamic lady who believes in hard work and adding value to her life and the lives of others. She was a senior prefect at the Saint Joseph’s Secondary School (Convent) where she completed her Junior and senior school levels. She is a Diploma holder from the Mass Communication Department, Fourah Bay College, the University of Sierra Leone where she is currently doing her degree in the same course. 

During her secondary school level, she worked at the “WETIN NOW” concept multimedia because of her passion for presenting. She was groomed on presenting and reporting and served as a Presenter and reporter till she completed her secondary school level. Since she was a child, she has always seen Oprah Winfrey as her mentor. To her, presenting is not all about the fame but it is about telling stories to the world.

Hannah Aba Yankson is also passionate about the well being of women and girls and helping create a safe space for them, she was a member of the Music for Girls Initiative Africa which is a non-profitable organization owned by Esther Chidima Micheal Emeh. During her being a part of this organization, she inspired many girls to believe in themselves as they all talk about issues going around the world through drama, music, poetry and much more ways they can engage young girls in Sierra Leone. 

Writing is also something Madam Yankson is passionate about. She loves writing and she won the International Day for Girls Essay Writing competition organized by Music for Girls Initiative Africa and partners in 2018. The essay was organized for girls in the organization and those that are not. Since then, she has never stopped writing as she writes poems, projects and much more inspiring stories. She was also the Second Runner Up for the Face of Plan Beauty Pageant in 2017 organized by Plan International Sierra Leone.

After completing her secondary school level, she applied to the Africa Young Voices Media Empire and was accepted. She officially started work in 2019. She was a presenter for the AYV ENTERTAINMENT NEWS.  She is currently a TV Presenter, producer, scriptwriter, and content logger for AYV on DSTV Channel 399, News Anchor, and Red Carpet host.  She is also a Master of Ceremony (mc). She has hosted many events including the 10th Edition of the Diaspora Focus Awards.  Miss Yankson believe that; life can never give you what you deserve but what you fight for. Therefore, she continues fighting (Working hard) in achieving her goals.
