Sierra Leonean First Lady, Dr. Fatima Bio today told the World Innovation Summit for Health 2022 in Qatar that no country will grow without education.
Dr. Bio was a panel with the First Lady of Rwanda Mrs. Jeannette Kagame and Former First Lady of Panama Mrs. Vivian Fernandez Torrijos.
She said she established the “Hands Off Our Girls” campaign to augment the flagship program of human capital development with specific focus on universal access to free quality education being implemented by President Julius Maada Bio.
The First Lady told the world that she started the Campaign to end the blatant abuse of women and girls with impunity.
Dr. Bio narrated that child marriage was pervasive with girls at age 12 being victims.
The Sierra Leonean First Lady is in Qatar in honor of a special invitation from the Royal Family of Qatar during which she participated at the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) that commences today October 4, 2022 in Doha, Qatar.
The trip and the cost of the entire delegation that accompanied the first lady is primarily funded by the Royal Family of Qatar.
