Tholoma Sumah is a part-time journalist at the African Young Voices Media Empire. Prior to reviewing his contract, Sumah was a full time staff as a reporter, producer, editor, content supervisor and presenter. Sumah has in many occasions act in the capacity as Head of News and Current Affairs department, deputy head of the same department for two years.

He started his career at in November 2016 as a volunteer before he gained full time employment in July, 2017.  He was awarded ‘Staff of the Month’ in June 2017.

Sumah is a winner of the World Bank Blog4Dev for Sierra Leone; a competition that incorporates the voices of young Africans into the development of Africa. As a winner for Sierra Leone, Sumah was invited to attend the World Bank/IMF Spring Meeting in Washington DC in April 2019. Sumah is also a Social Activist, and founded the Foundation for Development; an organization that promotes production and manufacturing for social benefits. He holds a Diploma in Mass Communications from the same institution.
