SWALIHO VANDI holds a Higher Teachers Certificate (Secondary) in English Language and Krio. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting and Journalism at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Sierra Leone Campus.Swaliho started journalism in 2007 while a student at the Eastern Polytechnic in Kenema where he became the chairman of the Eastern Polytechnic Association of Journalists from 2008 to 2009. He has worked for various Radio stations as reporter, producer and presenter. In 2015, Swaliho relocated from Kenema to Freetown where he joined the team of young vibrant journalists at the Africa Young Voices Media Empire as a reporter, producer and presenter. He is fondly called minister of health due to his keen interest in health related issues and coverage Away from journalism, Swaliho has been a teacher at the Henritta Secondary School in Kenema and the Holy Rosary Senior Secondary in Kenema. He has also worked for the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society and Save the Children International amongst others.
