Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Ambassador, Amara Denis Turay aka Kao Denero has successfully hosted one of the biggest music festivals in Sierra Leone, alongside fellow rapper from Kenya Kaligraph Jones.

The show which was held at the Tokeh Beach over the weekend was titled: ‘Back to My Root’ Beach Festival – East Meets West’, aimed to encourage Africans living abroad to come back home and contribute to Africa’s development.

The Festival, which was organised by the Office of the Entertainment and Investment Ambassador in Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, served as a trade center for the promotion of Sierra Leone’s touristic beauty and development in the country’s entertainment industry.

The event’s stage became hotter and more entertaining with cheers from the thousands of fans of the two rap stars, when Kaligraph Jones and Kao Denero, two of Africa’s hottest hip-hop rappers and one-time hot rivals in the rap battle, hit the stage.

It could be recalled that before now, both hip-hop artistes Kao Denero and Kaligraph Jones were strong rivals, especially after Kao Denero released a “diss track” taking on the likes of M.I Abaga, Sarkodie and Khaligraph Jones aka Khaligraph.

In a statement, AYV Media Empire said: “Hip-hop star Kaligraph Jones came to the BUILDING! Thanks for the visit to the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire – the home of DStv Ch399.

“It was great to see both Hip-hop stars, Amb. Kao Denero and Kaligraph Jones in action, at the Back To My Root Festival, Tokeh Beach.
