The Leader of Government Business who is also representing constituency 019 in the house of Parliament Hon. Chief Mathew Sahr Nyuma has donated five-wheel chairs to the physically challenged at the Opportunity Training Centre O.T.C in Kenema.

Among the five-wheel chairs were two electronics and three manual wheel chairs two electronics and three manual wheel chairs.

The presentation of items took place on Sunday 9th October 2022 at the Kenema city hall in Kenema.

Victor S Koroma, Hawa Koroma, Fatmata Sawaneh, Musu Mansaray and Salamatu Brima were the beneficiaries of the gesture from the MP.

During the presentation ceremony, the chairman physically challenged Kenema district Gbessay Moseray thanked Honourable Mathew Sahr Nyuma for the donation.

He said the MP has been very helpful to them as physically challenged in the constituency.

He went further to state that when the journey started, Hon Nyuma was a friend but revealed that their relationship has grown to that of a brotherhood.

In excitement he indicated that words can’t be enough to catalogue the various aids the MP has rendered to them and went on to applaud the MP for always been there for them.

Giving his keynote address, honourable Chief Mathew Sahr applauded Amb. Adonis Aboub for always supporting him towards his developmental strides in his constituency citing the wheel chairs as no exception.

Hon. Nyuma expressed happiness over the good relationship he had established with the physically challenged long ago.

He said a politician should not be a monster rather a politician should be reachable at all times.

Honourable Nyuma stated that the fight for the people is a fight for all, and called on other stakeholders to come onboard to render assistance to members of O.T.C for the construction of their resident which was destroyed by fire some months ago. He presented ten bundles of zinc and roofing nails to members of the OTC as start up for their quarter.

He promised that as a government, they will continue to make Kenema very attractive pointing out that, they will continue to strengthen education across the country citing that education is the key to the development of any Country.

Honourable Mathew Sahr Nyuma revealed that with the institution of the students’ loan scheme by the New Direction Administration, it will ease the burden on parents regards payment of university fees.

Amb. Adonis Aboub who has been very helpful to the leader promised to add more five-wheel chairs to round it up to a total of ten so that more members will benefit from the gesture.

It could be recalled that sometimes last year, the MP donated five-wheel chairs plus food to members of the OTC in Kenema.

Victor S. Koroma and Hawa Koroma both received one electronic wheel chair each while the other three beneficiaries received the manual wheel chairs.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Visitor S. Koroma thanked Honourable Mathew Sahr Nyuma for the gesture.

He said words cannot express how happy they are for the MP over the donation, while calling on other stakeholders to emulate the good work of honourable Mathew Sahr Nyuma.
