The donated food items included 50 bags of rice, 15 cartoons of sardine, 2 cartoons of tomato paste and 2 jerry cans of palm oil respectively.

Presenting the donated items on behalf of the Michael family, Mr. Martin Edmond Michael, who happens to be the Managing Director of Mercury International, disclosed that he was formally invited by EducAid Director, Madam Marin Mason Sesay, to visit the school campus and see the job they are doing in respect of helping the less privileged children to get better education.

Mr. Martin E. Michael, who was highly impressed with the wonderful work going on at the EducAid school campus, surprised the Director on behalf of the Michael family by donating the food items as their continuous support to the learning institution,

The Mercury Managing Director also passionately appealed to other well-meaning Sierra Leoneans to come on board to aid over 700 children – 2700 in total – to access quality education.

In her response, the Founder and Country Director of EdcAid, Madam Marian Mason Sesay, expressed thanks and appreciation to the Michael family for the humanitarian gesture.

She disclosed that EducAid also operates in the provinces catering for 2700 children countrywide.

Madam Sesay further disclosed that the institution does not ask for any school fees or extra charges from the children.

She emphasized that what EducAid requires from the children as school fees is excellent attention, excellent behaviour and excellent effort.
