She said she felt very bad and realized why she was has been working for months without pay, and was just restricted within the confinement of their compound.

For this reason she said she approached her Madam asking for her salary and further informed her of her relatives at home that have died of Ebola.

She said her Madam responded by telling her that she has been bought to her agents and she cannot be paid.

She said she was helpless as she was beaten at any time she rebelled against the poor conditions she lived in that resident, as a result she said she chose to remain calm hoping that she would one day meet with her agent.

She said her most dreadful moment in Kuwait was when her madam told her, it is her responsibility as their FAMILY SLAVE to satisfy the sexual needs of her sons.

She said the Mother told her that, when she found out that her eldest son is sexually harassing her.

She said her Master repeatedly threatened to kill her one day and dump her remains in the big sea for the fishes to feed if she continues to be insubordinate.

She went on to explain that the Master said that several time boasting that no one would ask about her, as she is her personal property.

Sylvia further maintained that one day, the Mother-in-law of her master brought another Kadama to the house, who would replace her, when she was sick.

She said while interacting with her co-Kandama she used her phone to call one of her friends who was also a victim of  the same slavery circumstance in Kuwait, who told her how she escaped from the home of the men who made her a sex slave.

She said she did as her friend advised her to escape, and now they are at the Shelter where they were rescued.

She said despite all she lost, including her self-confidence as a person, she is at least thankful to God for the relief she currently has in the Shelter.

However she said the Shelter is currently over crowded with victims of trafficking from various West African countries, and as a result they are constrained for feeding and accommodation.

She said as a result of that together with the huddles they have gone through, they want to return home, but the Kuwait authorities are insisting that they pass through the deportation camp, where she said they would also live in a deplorable condition for days till a flight is available to transport them home.

She said they are at the moment stranded in the country, as the Sierra Leonean Embassy is full of uncomprehensive protocols which they are to follow for them to be repatriated home.

She said this is unlike other countries like Cameroon which is considerate of the illiterate status their victims in the country.

She therefore called on the Government to help communicate their plights to the embassy in Kuwait.

Efforts are still been made to contact the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry to comment on the issue.
