Over 4,000 Jobs forSierra Leone Youth

What has widely been received as a success story behind the president’s visit, an international company, ITOCHU-DOLE Sierra Tropical, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Sierra Leone and Bollore Transport and Logistics to start exporting Processed Pineapples by 2021 from Sierra Leone.

The project according to sources, will provide lucrative jobs for over Four Thousand Sierra Leone youth. The project according to reports, will be implementation mainly within the Bo district and its environs.

The wonderful development is coming amidst much criticisms from some opposition and media sects about the excessive cost of travelling of the president and some government officials.

The last month’s TICAD7 Summit held in Japan, was focused on “Advancing Africa’s development through people, technology and innovation”.

The event was aimed at promoting Japanese private investment in Africa by showcasing a successful Japanese agribusiness investment in Sierra Leone.
