In seconding the motion for the approval of the nominee, Hon. Komba Koedoyoma praised the move by the President in nominating the former MP and encouraged the nominee to deliver in the interest of the nation. On the other hand, Hon. Kombor Kamara called on colleague Members for the speedy ratification of Hon David Bai Conteh, whilst Hon. JB Mansaray called on the nominee to work in the interest of the nation and forget about political party affiliation.

In concluding the debate, both Acting Minority Leader and Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Ansu Kai-Kai and Hon. Leonard Fofanah, respectively commended the nomination of Hon. Conteh, whom they acclaimed as having been a fine MP during his term, conscientiously serving various Parliamentary Committees. In approving the nominee, the presiding Speaker, Hon. Chernor R.M. Bah, congratulated him and wished him well in his pursuits.
