2018 elections results: 75% votes counted; SLPP-1st, APC-2nd, NGC-3rd, C4C-4th

The third and fourth slots are occupied by Kandeh Yumkella (National Grand Coalition) with 136,009 and ex-Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana (Coalition for Change) with 67,132 respectively.

The remaining percentage of votes is shared by a dozen other aspirants who were on the ballot sheet aiming to replace outgoing Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. Yesterday’s 75% result announced represents 1,958,191.00 (One Million, Nine Hundred and Fifty-Eight Thousand, One Hundred and Ninety-One) votes of a total registered voters of 3,077,494.00 (Three Million, Seventy-Seven Thousand, Four Hundred and Ninety-Four) votes for the March 7, 2018 polls. Chief Electoral Commissioner of NEC, N’fa Alie Conteh yesterday assured the world that he will be releasing the final results today Monday or tomorrow Tuesday, adding that if no party gets the required percentage of 55, there will be a run-off within a period of two weeks after the day of final results announcement.
