Indeed, throughout history, people have suffered pain and heartache from wars, famine, cruelty, crime, injustice, poverty, sickness and death of loved ones due to bag governance.
In some cases one is tempted to conclude that the 21st century Sierra Leone is not progressing but retrogressing with visions of Sierra Leoneans wallowing in darkness and on hungry stomachs. Why should this happen?
Some people become embattled and feel that if there is a government it does not really care about our safety and well being.
The high rate of corruption in the country with very few punitive cases is alarming and likely to cause and or pave the way for another rebellion.

On the other hand, various institutions such as education, health, sanitation, agriculture, transportation, electricity, the judiciary have become moribund in recent times. If this ugly scenario continues, there is bound to be a downward trend in our national development. Now, there is high rate of armed robbery and the very low performance of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) even with their night patrols resulting to sleepless nights to many residents while victims have either been killed or all they worked for being carted away. This is serious because no civilian is allowed to carry or own a gun.
I also believe and know that zero tolerance to corruption is appropriate but the reality is that it takes a little but longer to fight and remove corruption than to wage an all out war on robbery especially that which deals with arms attacks on peaceful residents.

This may seem and sound astonishing in view of man’s bloodthirsty of constant fear and trouble. But this has come about because this has been under-human and demon rule.
