Abubakarr Turay, another Alumni member said the Commonwealth Scholarship is an international programme under which Commonwealth countries offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other member states. He said the scholarship was established by Commonwealth education ministers at their first conference in 1959. Since then, Commonwealth Scholarships have become one of the most prestigious and best-known international scholarship schemes which have benefited over 30,000 individuals.

Marcella Samba-Sesay, another member of the Alumni spoke to the pupils on the negative effects of examinations malpractices. She encouraged the pupils to be steadfast in the pursuance of their academic work and be patient and wait for the rightful time God has designated them.

Vice Principal of the School, Rachael Parker thanked the Alumni for considering Saint Joseph Convent to benefit from the lectures. She encouraged the pupils to be concentrative in all what they are being told and make sure they learn and put into practice all what they are being taught about the Commonwealth and examination malpractice.  

Other members of the Alumni, Dr. Sallieu Sankoh and Aminata Umaru Kamara also spoke to the pupils on the need to say no to examination malpractice.
