Reports have alleged that military personnel attached at the border from both the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) and Guinea are mostly seen engaging in the unpatriotic act.

The Sierra Leone-Guinea border will serve as the third revenue port of Sierra Leone that will be a potential for the country’s sustainable growth, depending if the leakages are urgently sealed with a proper monitoring system.

The security challenge along this route many people believed cannot be addressed without a strong bilateral engagement within the Mano River basin.

Many say other than that, any attempt by the Sierra Leone Government to stop Guineans from smuggling goods and passengers into the country without going through thorough security protocols, stands to face abuses at the hands of Guineans who think Sierra Leone cannot proceed without them.
