The accused persons included Abdul Fullah, Alhaji Bangura, Orfather Koroma, Alhassan Jalloh, Mohamed Koroma, Abdul Rahman Mansaray, Mohamed Metto Kanu, Alimamy Fofanah, Sheriff Kamara alias Jaygay, Edwin Manga and Abdul Bangura. They were arraigned on two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder contrary to Section 4 of the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861, and Murder contrary to law.
This matter was re-heard on 11 November, 2018.
Furthermore, a local tabloid reported on 10th September 2014 the death of one Francis Kamara who was tortured to death by a group of thugs.
Francis Kamara’ death resulted from severe beatings and torture on 11th September, 2014 at the Jorpoh Farm in the Waterloo District.
On 20th Oct. 2014 this medium published what could be referred to as an alibi someone (name withheld) who claimed to be in London, where he too learnt about the death of the young man.
The late Francis Kamara alias “Orbluffer” is not the only Sierra Leonean that has been killed at the Jorpoh farm. The first Sierra Leonean to suffer untimely death at the Jorpoh Farm was popularly known as “C.O. Berrin Ground.”
As we go to press, at least eight people have been murdered at Jorpoh Farm. Meanwhile, Sierra Leone Police crime investigators at CID are reluctant to speak more on this dangerous but important societal ill.
