Abubakarr Conteh, Volunteer at S.E.E Hope and Turay Foundation, said they first started with a ‘School Feeding Project.’

However, during the ‘School Feeding Project’ they realized that the school needed face lift to its structures hence; they launched a ‘Rehabilitation Project.’

So far, the charity organizations have completed the roofing of the school, started the foundation of a toilet building, and have plans of providing furniture for the school.

The Headmistress of the Nak Fos Community Primary School, Christiana Koroma expressed delight and pleasure over what she described as an accomplishment for the school.

Koroma noted that prior to this rehabilitation project, the school was faced with challenges especially when it rains.

She further appealed for more support as they are faced with constrains of school registers, furniture and learning materials.

On his part, the Section Chief of Nak Fos Phase III, Chief Santigie Koroma, called on government’s intervention as the school is yet to be approved by the Ministry of Education.

“The Ministry of Education does not recognize our school for now and they do not support us. The development of this school is spearheaded by the community and now S.E.E Hope and the Turay Foundation are supporting us” said Chief Koroma.

S.E.E. H.O.P.E. (Social, Educational, Economic, and Healing of People Everywhere) seeks to help build strong families and communities; by providing for and addressing the basic needs of low-income families.

The Turay Foundation seeks to aid and support needy families and communities through community development in the areas of public health, education, advocacy and cultural pride.
