Police Chief Assures Peaceful 2023 Elections

Having policed several elections as junior and senior officer, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), William Fayia Sellu has commenced the positioning of the force in preparation for the June 2023 multitier elections with strategic transfer and postings.

As a police officer who believes in law and order, IGP Sellu has always stood his ground in kicking against any act or move that may undermine national security or derail the new direction developmental trajectories.

Since peace and security are twin components of development engine in every society, thus the Police Chief adherence to his constitutional mandates in the electioneering period becomes pivotal.

From all his moves following his appointment, approval and swearing in, the no-nonsense police chief executive is in top gear to make sure that Sierra Leoneans enjoy the peace and tranquillity before, during and after the elections.

Director of the Operational Support Division (OSD), the Paramilitary Wing of the SLP, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Francis Moses Tower has been widely acclaimed by stakeholders within the security sector and government.
