Sierra Leone’s Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh yesterday 7th September, 2022 confirmed that in just 5 days of the start of the voter registration process across the country, 415,465 Sierra Leoneans have already successfully been registered to vote in the 2023 multi-tier elections.

This he said is based on reports from 65% Centers out of 1815 Centers opened, adding that the first phase of the process is scheduled to end on 17th September, 2022.

The Commissioner went on that they are satisfied with the ongoing voter’s registration process and that it captures citizens that are qualified to vote in an electioneering process in 2023.
