=CLARIFICATION= AYV IS CORRECT: SLAJ Iverify is FALSE

Share

This is to inform our readers that AYV Newspaper was right in its report on the statement made by the British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Lisa Chesney, that the “UK government is happy with President Bio’s electoral reforms”.

We also want our readers to know that Iverify, a group owned and operated by the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ Iverify) was misguided to have classified the article as false.

It is true that most internationally funded groups in this part of the world can do anything within their reach to justify their donor funds, but doing so to damage other people’s integrity, is what AYV will never accepted and/or tolerate.

We hope those verifying at SLAJ Iverify will do the right thing and first down that suspicious post against AYV Newspaper on their website, retract their false ‘verification’ and unreservedly apologise to our editorial board for using the paper’s well-reported article to mislead their readers.

We will again reproduce the article below for our readers.
