“Any civilian found putting on military or police uniform would be promptly arrested and prosecuted,” the public notice added.
The notice urged and warned all those that are in the habit of putting on police uniform and military wears at night or in broad day light to desist immediately, because the Sierra Leone police take great exception to that and will ensure that those who are found wanting would be arrested and prosecuted instantaneously .
The strongly worded notice was signed and issued by the Head of Media and Public Relations of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) Assistant Superintendent Gloria Edwards (ASP).
