According to them,  Charlotte village  had over one thousand residents and blessed with  natural  tourist attraction sites , with a water fall, which the community deriving earnings from and at the same time raising funds to transform  the water  fall into an electric dam .

The people of Charlotte also informed this medium that they had gone a long way with regards to the transformation process of the water fall into an electric dam, but that they were faced with a lot of constrains, in term of accessing both financial and technical supports, from the relevant national institutions responsible for the construction of roads in the country.

 In her contribution, the Head Woman of Charlotte village, Catherine Harding pointed out that government had not been fairly treated the people of Charlotte as if they never voted for the ruling All People Congress to take over the reins of governance in Sierra Leone.

She also highlighted that roads and bridges within the Charlotte village were in a very bad shape, and that the community people had no access good roads leading to Charlotte village, and even the bridges were in very bad shape.

Madam Catherine Harding maintained that Charlotte village had lost it tourism attraction, due to the ongoing transformation of the water fall, adding that her subjects had not access electricity for a considerable period of time.

A resident of Charlotte village, Raymond Hardin, stated that their community was in dire need of basic necessities, like pipe borne water, electricity, good roads, including a community playing field for holding of various social events.

 He concluded that they were very much optimistic that very soon, the ongoing construction work at the dam would be completed and it tourist attraction sites would be restored.
