officially inaugurated a newly constructed Masjid in Segbwema, Kailahun district. The ceremony, attended by local leaders and residents, celebrated the achievement, with Turay emphasising the project’s collaborative effort and its alignment with President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s community development vision.
Ing. Lahai Senesie, the project’s lead engineer, highlighted the Masjid’s spiritual significance, while Sheikh Bah spoke on its broader role in society. Hon. Wuyata Songa urged unity among the people of Segbwema, and Jakar Turay, a local women’s representative, expressed the Masjid’s importance to the Kono Town community. The new Masjid is seen as a symbol of unity and spiritual growth for the region.
