On Friday, 11th July 2025, Inspector General of Police Mr William Fayia Sellu paid a courtesy visit to Engineer Alfred Jalil Momodu, Director General of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA), at their offices on Blackhall Road, Kissy. The visit aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and discuss plans to support the Sierra Leone Police in establishing a new division at Masingbi.
During the meeting, IGP Sellu emphasised the importance of creating a police division covering the extensive areas between Magburaka and Kono. He highlighted that this follow-up visit was motivated by the need to improve policing in these places.
The IGP also informed Engineer Momodu that he had visited Masingbi, where the police plan to utilise structures built by Salcost and handed over to SLRA. Additionally, IGP Sellu discussed engaging with paramount chief and local authorities in Masingbi to identify further accommodation options for police personnel who will be deployed in the area.
