The ‘Sorie Nana boys’ of Port Loko at work
The two past nights since the pronouncement of Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara’s name by Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma at the Makeni convention as his successor and Presidential Candidate for the APC in the March 2018 elections, disgruntled residents of the district took to the street demonstrating their disappointment against the Chairman and Leader’s decision.
According to some Port Loko residents who spoke to AYV newspaper last night before press time, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s decision to select Bombali born Samura Kamara over Port Loko born Hon. Alpha Kanu-De Apprentice, Hon. Kemoh Sesay and Hon. Ibrahim Bundu among others is a big punch on their face.
The Port Loko people went on to say it was now their turn to host the presidency and that they presented the best and most loyal servants to Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for selection but disappointingly he unexplainably dodged all their choices and selected Samura Kamara.

The past two nights have been the worst moments for APC supporters in the district as youth and elderly residents have been seen tearing and burning up T-shirts, wall bills and banners bearing their national chairman and leader’s face.

From the way the ugly development is growing hour after hour, it seems it is only the physical presence of Hon. Alpha Kanu, Hon. Kemoh Sesay and/or Hon. Ibrahim Bundu in the district to talk to the disgruntled supporters that will calm the situation.
