“Our aim is to encourage the children to focus in their study and forget about the trauma that befell them, noting that their aim is to see that the children concentrate in their study” she said.
It is expected that the school materials according to Madam Tunis will ease the stress on parents of the affected children so that the latter can be happy and forget about the deadly incident that affect them and their family members.
Suafiatu went on to say over two hundred primary schools children have benefited so far from the jammat’s gesture since the occurrence of the sad event. She revealed that each of the children took home a bag contained with a dozen exercise books, sets of pens, pencils and other basic school material to fully capacitate them.
She assured that Jamiluljalil will continue to support the vulnerable and less privilege children across the country, adding that part of their plan is to help vulnerable children in all aspect.
Rosa David, from the Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children Affair in her statement commended Jamiluljalil for the compassionate donation, noting that the mudslide and flood affected children need more help.
“The donation is timely,” she stated, adding that most of the children are in dire need of school materials owing to the catastrophe that happened in the country where they lost all their personal belongings.
She said they have been receiving supplies from government and other humanitarian organizations beside school materials but that they are looking forward to getting more.
A beneficiary of the donation thanked the donors for what he described as: “A wonderful and timely intervention to build their future”, while calling on the donors not to forget them but to continue the good gesture.
