ACC Commissioner Ben Kaifala Receives Award in London

The Commissioner of Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission, Francis Ben Kaifala Esq, received the prestigious Africa’s Voice for Accountability Award at the 15th African Achievers Awards held at the UK House of Lords in London.

The award notably recognizes his outstanding leadership in promoting transparency and ethical governance while combating corruption in Sierra Leone.

In a pleasant statement shared on his official Facebook page, Commissioner Kaifala reflected on the significance of the award, stating, “In the heart of Westminster Palace, House of Parliament, UK, London, was a night that has summed up the sacrifice I have given for Sierra Leone as Anti-Corruption Commissioner and the prestigious and memorable wins that have come with it for us.”

Kaifala dedicated the award to President Julius Maada Bio and the people of Sierra Leone, expressing gratitude for their support.

He remarked, “This is dedicated to my President, Julius Maada Bio and the people of Sierra Leone who took a bet on a young man at then the age of just 32 to lead the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone and provided the platform and free hand for my Leadership and Commitment to Sierra Leone to be showcased and flourish.”

He emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fight against corruption, stating, “My cup has been running over with Awards and Major Recognition at home and abroad as I have carried on this Challenging but very doable task for country. Thank you.”

The African Achievers Awards celebrate individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the development of Africa.
