Sierra Leoneans and friends of Sierra Leone at home and abroad are left overwhelmed after what many people have described as “admirable political tolerance” between the ruling and opposition political parties’ stalwarts at the official launch of Housemates Salone Season 4 at Chapter One over the weekend.
“Housemates Salone is a national Reality Television Show, and Season 4 is going to be officially launched by Sierra Leone. Our Mayor here is APC, and I am SLPP, so, whether you are APC or SLPP, this is our event”.
These were the words of the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, representing the ruling government, and Her Worship the Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, representing the main opposition as they jointly launched Housemates Salone Season 4 at the Chapter One Night Club & Restaurant over the weekend.
It is now proven that when state personalities want to associate and socialise, they choose progressive and inclusive events like Housemates Salone.
The official launch of Housemates Salone Season 4 at the prestigious Chapter One saw distinguished personalities, including the First Lady of Sierra Leone and President of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, Her Worship the Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, the wife of the Police Inspector General and President of the Police Wives Association, Mrs. Matilda Doris Sellu, Chief Executive Officers, Directors, Managing Directors from banks and other public and private sectors, and Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, among other institutions, wining and dining together.
The Executive Producers for Housemates Salone, CEO of AYV, Amb. Anthony Navo Jr., and CEO of Africell, Shadi Gerjawi have jointly announced that the Star Prize for Housemates Salone Season Four is One Billion Old Leones (One Million New Leones) plus a round-trip to Dubai.
The theme for Housemates Salone Season 4 is Clean Game, signifying the organisers’ intention to thoroughly clean the game of Reality TV Shows in Sierra Leone from nudity, corruption, ‘mammy cuss’ and the rude acts it has been drawn into lately by some reality tv show handlers.
Housemates Salone remains one of Sierra Leone’s most-watched reality shows. The show brings together contestants from across the country to live under one roof, facing weekly evictions and challenges. The official launch over the weekend kicks off Season 4, with organisers promising a bigger, bolder edition in partnership with Chapter One.
