Managing Director of Africell Sierra Leone, Shadi Gerjawi has said with the advent of Afrimoney, through the Company’s financial services and financial inclusion drive, the process of accessing one’s money has been reduced from 3 minutes to 1 minute.
Speaking at the National Salone Civil Festival 2024 held at Youyi building last evening, Shadi said: “When we talk about financial inclusion, on our Afrimoney platform, we have reduced the process from three hours to just one minute. In the past, if you wanted to make a payment or cash a cheque, you had to go to the bank, get stuck in traffic, stand in long queues, and spend a lot of money on transportation. But with the financial inclusion initiatives we are implementing, you can now do all that from the comfort of your home”.
Afrimoney is Africell’s mobile money solution. It is a secure way to transfer, store and manage money in an account linked to Africell sim card, similar to a digital bank account.
