Dr. Yumkella welcomed the enormous efforts being made for Peace in the SLPP, but noted that the party will face consequences in an event where there are irregularities in the forthcoming National Convention of the Party.

Amid the called for peace and unity in the country’s main opposition, Dr. Yumkella emphasised that peace comes with justice. As a result he said it will be foolish of them to allow their opponents to intimidate and rouge them during the national convention.

“You nor dae rouge me, don you cam apologies to me” Dr. Yumkella said while stating that they will resist every form of intimidation and exploitation.

He called the National Executive Committee of the party to ensure a free and fair national delegate convention, and warned that the party will pay dearly for any manipulation and malpractice attempt in the forthcoming party national delegate convention.

He further informed his supporters that the next jogging will be from the west end of Freetown to the east end part of the capital city.

This he said is to indicate that their party is ready to contest in the 2018 general elections with a healthy mind in a healthy body.

He further revealed his plans to undertake another phase of his National wide tour, starting with a carnival at the Party office
