The East End Lions Football Club (E.E Lions FC) have contracted the services of Mohamed Lamin Kamara, popularly known as Coach ML as Head Coach for the team, ahead of the 2024 Confederation of Africa Football.
The 2019 Sierra Leone Premier League unbeaten Champions East End Lions Football Club have embarked on reforms and restructuring of the team, especially for the upcoming CAF.
The Club’s Communication Team said: “We are excited to announce the appointment of Mohamed Lamin Kamara, popularly known as Coach ML, as our new Head Coach, effective July 5, 2024. Coach ML brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having previously served in various coaching capacities both locally and internationally”.
Expressing excitement after penning down the contract for East End Lions Football Club, Mohamed Lamin Kamara mentioned “working as a team to achieve the Clubs goal” as his key priority, adding that the Club has a rich history of wining laurels over the years.
Coach ML holds a B.Sc. in Geography/Economics from Njala University and has earned several coaching qualifications, including SLFA, CAF A, B and C Licenses, and a CAF GPS/Fitness Course certification.
His extensive coaching career includes positions as Head Coach for Wusum Stars Football Club, Sierra Leone National Under 20 Team, East End Tigers Football Club and Central Parade Football Club.
Notably, he has also served as an Assistant Coach at the Craig Bellamy Foundation Academy and the Sierra Leone National Under 15 team.
As the new Head Coach, Coach ML will lead the backroom staff with a strong focus on player development, winning matches and trophies, and maintaining discipline among players.
The new Technical Team comprises of Mohamed Lamin Kamara (ML) – Head Coach, Abdul Karim Bangura (Mexes) – Assistant Coach 1, Abdul Rahim Sheriff (Bellamy) – Assistant Coach 2 and Alie Jaward – Goalkeeper Coach.
