The response of barrister Oladipo Vivian Robin- Mason Jnr prompted the presiding judge to discharge the matter, considering the fact that since the matter was committed to the High Court for trial, not a single witness came forward to testify.
Justice Ernest Gooding stated that he would not continue to incarcerate Ibrahim Kanu, but that he was not pleased the way the matter treated, taking into cognizance the high level of crime rate and the influx of criminals parading the streets of Freetown, forcefully dispossessing innocent and peaceful citizens of their personal belongings especially at night.
“I am discharging you, but I am not pleased”, justice Gooding stated”
He concluded by admonishing Ibrahim Kanu to engage in constructive and result oriented activities, that would improve the living condition of his children including him.
