The meeting was held at Yanka forest at Constituency -38 in the Bombali district and it attracted over four hundred representatives from the different localities.

The nine communities included, Makomp, Pate Bana Marank, Romankneh, Rogbom Sella, Teko, Mankneh-2, Magbai, Gbanka Potho.

The chairman of the occasion, Abdul Kamara stated that they had been marginalized for far too long by politicians especially their representatives in the house of parliament and local council administration.

   Abdul Mustafa Kamara went further to explain that the meeting was deliberate and it was intended to enlighten community members leaving in  deprived communities within  constituency 38 in that part of the country.

He added that the days of flamboyant speeches and fake promises to constituents were no longer fashionable and that members of the ruling All Peoples Congress party should   award symbols to  candidates that hardworking and developmentally minded, if they want to regain political power in Sierra Leone.

The headman of Pate Bana Marank thanked  Emmanuel Conteh popularly known as ‘Showers’ for his supports towards promoting education and alleviating poverty in their communities, adding that contemporal  politics required electing people  who know you better and  Showers had undertaken  remarkable and several development activities before he choose to become a  politician.

On behalf of Gbanka Potho Community, Mohammed Kamara expressed dissatisfaction over the current member of Parliament representing them, stating that the current Member of Parliament, Salieu Osman Sesay was a talkative and non performer and had failed to implement projects he promised his people.

 He acknowledged the good work of the former Member of Parliament –Ambassador, Alimamy A. Kamara as he piloted several tangible development activities in their constituency.

Mohammed Kamara informed his audience that politics was an ongoing process which required honesty and  if the ruling All People Congress imposed any candidate on them, they would cross carpet the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party.

He added that   his was prepared and willing to lead a campaign and ensure that Emmanuel Conteh to represent them in Parliament come 2018 general elections.
