Honourable Mohamed Bangura, Member of Parliament representing the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party has said he will allow God to judge his case against those who removed him as Member of the ECOWAS Parliament against his wish.
According to Bangura, he blamed the Speaker of the Sierra Leone Parliament, Hon. Dr. Abass Bundu for wrongfully removing him.
Bangura initially threatened to file litigation against the Speaker, but later abandoned the decision, saying he now leaves his case to God.
“The speaker used the wrong steps to remove me from ECOWAS, I have the right to seek legal redress. But I will not do it. I leave my case to God.”
In the fifth Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Hon. Bangura was one of the MPs sent to represent the country in the Community Parliament.
But his recent removal had long been anticipated after disobeying his Party’s resolution to boycott governance following the disputed June 24 election which the APC claimed was rigged in favor of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party.
