The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. has appreciated his staff for successfully putting up an innovative two days ‘Back To School Drill’.
The 2-day Drill saw staff of the Media Empire, including reporters, presenters, producers, technicians, porters and administrative staff putting on their respective primary and secondary schools uniforms to work, and observed all school activities throughout the two days.
As a way of uniting staff and inspiring school going pupils and young stars, the Staff organised the Drill on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th November, 2024 with the theme: ‘Focus on Education as the Foundation for a Brighter Future’.
Day one saw the staff smartly dressed up in their primary schools attire, while day two featured the staff dressed up in their respective secondary schools attire and were addressed by the CEO of AYV, Anthony Navo Jr, who was sitting in as Principal and COO Messeh Leone, sitting in as Head Teacher.
Both authorities encouraged the pupils to priortise their school/office work, whiles also preaching against holding grudge and undermining co-pupils/workers. They further encouraged them to see each other as classmates/workmates in pushing AYV for the best.
The two-day Drills were climaxed with certificate awards and cash prizes for the five Best and Well Dressed School Uniform Pupils, Michelle Jaward in 1st Position, Marina Terry in 2nd Position, Aruna Turay in 3rd Position, George Batilo Powell in 4th Position and Christocia Williams in 5th Position respectively.
