The Commissioner of Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Francis Ben Kaifala Esq., will participate in the Ease of Doing Business in Africa Conference to be held at the House of Commons, United Kingdom’s Parliament, in London.

Rt. Hon. Diane Abbott, the longest-serving Black Member of Parliament in the UK and widely regarded as a leading voice on global equality and development, is the event’s host.

Commissioner Kaifala will feature as a key panellist in Panel 2, anchored on Strengthening Integrity and Legal Confidence for Investment in Africa.

This timely discussion is on how anti-corruption, legal frameworks, and governance are essential in building investor trust across the continent.

The Panel 2 session will be moderated by Dr. Nero Ughwujabo, Strategy Adviser at The King’s Trust and the former Special Adviser to the UK Prime Minister.

Also joining the ACC Commissioner on the panel are: Zurina Saban, General Counsel, Africa50, and Dr. Vumile Msweli, CEO of Hesed Consulting, South Africa.

The panel forms part of a broader conference agenda that brings together influential voices from policy, business, and development to explore practical strategies for unlocking Africa’s business potential.

Speaking before departing the shores of Sierra Leone, Commissioner Kaifala noted: “Investment in Africa must rest on a solid foundation of integrity and justice. When institutions are strong and corruption is not tolerated, trust flourishes, and economies grow.”

The conference underscores the vital link between good governance and economic prosperity and reflects the growing global interest in Africa as a destination for sustainable investment, innovation, and leadership.
