Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has encouraged Sierra Leoneans to campaign peacefully without disturbing the peace in the country. He called on every Sierra Leonean to comport himself and campaign without fear, stating that nothing will happen that can disturb the peace in the country.
He further encouraged Sierra Leoneans to behave peacefully while undertaking their daily activities, adding that President Julius Maada Bio is fully in charge of the State and will do everything possible to ensure peace is maintained.
The Vice President explained to the people about the implementation of President Bio’s 2018 manifesto promises in the areas of education, new airport, health, electricity, road, water among others.
He lamented on the reduction of maternal mortality rate to low level in Sierra Leone, adding that President Bio will do more to reduce maternal and infant mortality to zero level if massively voted for in the 2023 general elections.
Vice President Jalloh encouraged supporters of President Bio to ensure there is no run-off in the June 24 elections. He also encouraged his party supporters to turn out in numbers on polling day as was demonstrated during the voter registration exercise to vote massively for President Bio.
He noted that massive voter turnout is a clear message of thanks and appreciation to President Bio for the Free Quality Education, infrastructure like road and bridges, and electricity among other development activities.
Vice President Jalloh informed about the upgrading of the Eastern Polytechnic to Eastern Technical University, the provision of stable electricity, and the construction of major of tarmac roads in Kenema city as some of the key developmental activities undertaken by President Bio’s New Direction Government, excluding the Free Quality Education and other developmental activities in the country.
Vice President Jalloh assured the people of Blama Town that President Bio will transform the town to look like a city, by bringing tangible developments that benefit the people.
Dr Jalloh disclosed about the establishment of the Kamakwie Campus of the Ahmed Tejan Kabbah University of Technology that will be soon established for the northwest region with headquarters in Portloko.
He also revealed that the electricity sub-station will be completed in September this year and then commission by President Bio to provide electricity for the people of Kamakwie. He added that a modern market will be constructed to provide business people the opportunity to trade in a conducive environment. While responding to the concern raised by the host Paramount Chief for the construction of the Makeni-Kamakwie road, Vice President Jalloh assured the Paramount Chief and his people that President Bio will construct the road before the expiration of his second term in office.
Vice President Jalloh enlightened indigenes of the two districts about President Bio’s development priorities including feeding the nation through agriculture in the next five years, and creating more jobs for youths through skills training and development among others.
He reiterated therefore that the June 24 elections is about President Bio to continue with development in the country, noting that only President Bio has the capability to develop Sierra Leone.
