Celebrating Customer Growth: G.T. Bank launches ‘Kip for D Bambai’ Promo

The Guaranty Trust Bank (G.T. Bank) in Sierra Leone has launched the second edition of the ‘Kip for D Bambai’ raffle promotion in appreciation to its valued customers.

The Launch saw the Bank offering customers the chance to win exciting prizes, including a motorbike, through their loyalty and deposits.

Master of Ceremony and Chairman of the Launch, Saio Kamara assured attendees that this second edition would be even more thrilling than the first.

He said: “G.T. Bank is not only focused on profit-making but also dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our customers”.

Head of Retail Banking Division at G.T. Bank, Victor Cleveland spoke on the Bank’s 21-year legacy and its commitment to giving back to its customers. He said: “We will be rewarding customers for their loyalty and deposits,” while explaining that to qualify for the raffle, both new and existing customers need to maintain a minimum monthly deposit of Le250.

The Raffle, which will run for six months, will feature monthly draws with the bank aiming to select 100 winners. For the grand draw in January 2025, Cleveland noted that customers need to deposit Le 25,000 to qualify.

Additionally, Mastercard holders can also qualify by using their card three times in a month.

Managing Director of G.T. Bank, Ade Adebiyi, officially launched the promotion, emphasiSing the Bank’s focus on the retail market.

He cited the Bank of Sierra Leone’s financial inclusion strategy initiated in 2017, which aimed to expand access to financial services. “Financial inclusion was at 20% in 2017, rose to 29% in 2021, and is currently at 35%,” Adebiyi revealed.

The Bank’s Chief highlighted significant contribution to this policy of the bank, stating that it’s customer base growth from 172,000 in 2017 to 418,000 customers nationwide today. He attributed this success to the introduction of simple yet effective technology, aligning with the financial inclusion strategy of the Bank of Sierra Leone.

A beneficiary of last year’s raffle, Lamin Bangura expressed his gratitude to G.T. Bank for the opportunity to win a brand new fridge. “My wife and I were saving to buy a fridge when I received a call from G.T. Bank informing me that I had won one in the ‘Kip for D Bambai’ raffle,” Bangura shared. He pledged to continue banking with G.T. Bank and hoped to win again in this year’s raffle.

The event was a testament to G.T. Bank’s dedication to its customers and its role in advancing financial inclusion in Sierra Leone. The ‘Kip for D Bambai’ raffle not only rewards customers but also encourages saving and financial responsibility.
