The award ceremony, which took place on Saturday 22nd March 2014 at the Northland Performing Art Centre, Columbus Ohio, was full of Sierra Leonean attendees.
Archie-Pearce dedicated his award to “all Sierra Leoneans who are working hard to put Mama Salone on the map” and said he felt ecstatic to receive an award of such importance and was overwhelmed by the turnout of Sierra Leoneans at the event.
“First of all I thanked God almighty for making it possible for me to win this award. It’s good when one’s effort is acknowledged and appreciated,” said Archie-Pearce, adding that Sierra Leone is gradually coming up and now on the map of the world of entertainments and creativity.
Before this, Archie-Pearce last year won the Sierra Leone Excellence Award for best movie premiere of his latest release “Ibu In Sierra Leone’; the ZAFAA award for his contribution towards the development of the African film industry and the Calabash Magazine award for Best Film Producer.
Mr. Collins Archie-Pearce is a London based Sierra Leonean and a Film Producer, Promoter, Actor, Script Writer and a Theatre Director. He has lived in the UK since March 1991 and has featured in several Nollywood Movies in the UK, including: ‘Rubicon’, ‘Amina’, ‘Shameful Deceit’, ‘Battered’, ‘London na wa’, ‘Ortega & his enemies’, ‘The Soul’, etc.
He produced the first ever Sierra Leonean movie that was premiered in the UK in March 2012 and recently produced one of Africa’s biggest movies, titled ‘Ibu in Sierra Leone’.
Happily married with a wife and three children, Mr. Archie-Pearce has full time employment with London Underground Ltd, working as a Train Operations Standards Manager, managing the managers on the Bakerloo line.
He has featured on national television in the UK for the past nine years, playing the role of a business tycoon in a TV drama series titled “Everyday life” (which was showing on four Sky television channels in the UK).

He manages lots of top Nollywood Actors, including Patience Ozorkwo, Desmond Elliott, Van Vicker, Osita Iheme (Pawpaw), John Okafor (Mr Ibu), Chinere Wilfred, Okey Bakasi, Lanre Balagun, Anthony Monjero, Victoria Inyama, Atto Erick, Joannes Maier, Ifunaya Igwe, Adaeze Ngozi, etc. And Sierra Leone actors/artist including Desmond Finney, Christiana Kamara, and Tyroon Da Prince.
Meanwhile, Archie-Pearce is expected in Freetown early April for three weeks to work on another movie project.
