In an era where integrity, transparency, and impactful leadership are crucial in public service, Commissioner of Police (CP) Abdul Moijueh has emerged as a leading force for reform and accountability.
He was recently honored as Sierra Leone’s Best Director of Traffic for 2025, in recognition of his transformative work within the Sierra Leone Police Force’s Traffic Division.
CP Moijueh’s tenure has been marked by major improvements in traffic control and public road safety across Freetown and beyond. Under his leadership, the division has seen a significant drop in traffic accidents, alongside an increase in public compliance and officer professionalism.
“CP Moijueh’s leadership has completely transformed the traffic system in Sierra Leone,” said Assistant Commissioner Joseph K. Kallon, a senior officer in the Sierra Leone Police.
“His hands-on style and deep community engagement have made a lasting and visible impact.”
Known for his people-centred leadership, CP Moijueh is frequently seen working alongside his officers in the field.
His approach emphasises not just enforcement, but education, dialogue, and respect between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
He has implemented regular public awareness campaigns, improved officer training, and strengthened communication between traffic authorities and the public—initiatives that have resulted in smoother traffic flow and greater road discipline across key city corridors.
“His efforts have not only reduced traffic incidents but have also reshaped public perception of the police,” said Haja Mariama Sesay, a community leader in eastern Freetown. “Heis living proof that leadership built on integrity and action can inspire national change.”
This national accolade highlights not just an individual achievement but signals a broader shift within the Sierra Leone Police.
