Cribs International has given a cheque of NLe300,000 to Francis Reffel, also known as Keltony, after winning the Cribs International Talent Search. Francis is going home with NLe300,000 and a record label deal

The event took place at 85 Hill Station, Black Gate by Box Drive at exactly 2:00 PM. Cribs International CEO, Sho Cole, handed over the cheque and welcomed Francis as the newest artist signed to the Cribs International record label.

> “We are happy to present the cheque to Francis Reffel, the winner, and welcome him as the latest signee to Cribs International. Cribs is not just a label, it’s a family,” Sho Cole said.

He also said that Francis, like other Cribs artists Boii and Peter, will receive a monthly allowance and other support from the label. The media and other guests were present to witness the special moment.

When receiving the cheque, Francis thanked Cribs International for the opportunity.

“I’m very thankful to Cribs International. This means a lot to me. I look forward to a new chapter in my life,” he said.

This year’s edition of the Cribs Talent Search built on a strong foundation laid during its national launch in early 2025. Registration opened in January, with forms made available at Cribs International’s Hill Station office in Freetown.

The competition officially kicked off on March 25, attracting over 200 unsigned artists from across the country, a major milestone for the local music industry.

Spearheaded by Sho Cole, the Cribs Talent Search was designed as a nationwide platform to discover and elevate Sierra Leone’s next generation of music stars. Contestants not only competed for prizes but also received mentorship, vocal training, and exposure to industry professionals.

Keltony claimed the top spot during the grand finale held Saturday night at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Freetown, earning a cash prize of NLe300,000, a record deal, full album production, and long-term career support with Cribs International.
