In a resounding display of solidarity and support, hundreds of All People’s Congress (APC) members and Sierra Leoneans in Monrovia, Liberia, converged to welcome Dr. Richard Konteh, popularly known as D-Unifier, during his two-day visit to the country.

Hon. Kadie Davies, chairperson of the event, lavished praise and support on Dr. Konteh, hailing him as a unifying force who can bring development and prosperity to Sierra Leone.
In her opening address, Hon. Davies commended Sierra Leoneans for the warm reception accorded to D-Unifiers and urged APC members in Liberia to remain united and relentless in their support for the party and Dr. Konteh’s bid to unify and develop Sierra Leone.
“We are here today to show our solidarity and support for Dr. Konteh’s vision for Sierra Leone,” Hon. Davies said. “We believe that he is the right leader to bring about the change we desire.”
Dr. Konteh, in his statement, emphasized the principles of unity and peaceful coexistence that underpin the D-Unifier movement. He assured APC members that, as flag bearer and president, he would prioritize justice and the rule of law, investigating instances of violence and human rights abuses.
“As your president after 2028 elections, I will ensure that justice is served, and the rule of law is upheld,” Dr. Konteh declared. “We will investigate instances of violence and human rights abuses, and those responsible will be held accountable.”
The APC flag bearer aspirant outlined his areas of priority, including education through a loan scheme for every citizen, economic empowerment, and human capital development.
He emphasised that these initiatives would be designed to benefit all Sierra Leoneans, regardless of their background or socio-economic status.
Thomas Foday, on behalf of APC Young Congress in Liberia, acknowledged Dr. Konteh’s support for the party’s membership in the country and pledged their unwavering support for his bid.
“We are proud to support Dr. Konteh’s bid, and we believe that he is the right leader to take our party to victory,” Foday said.
Dr. Konteh’s visit to Liberia has generated significant excitement, with APC members and Sierra Leoneans converging at the New Kru Town Hall to show their support and solidarity.
The event was marked by processions in major towns leading to the capital, Monrovia.
In a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Konteh thanked Sierra Leoneans in Liberia and the Liberian government for the warm reception during their stay.
“I am grateful for the warm reception and support we have received during our stay in Liberia,” Dr. Konteh said. “This is a testament to the strong ties between our two countries and the APC’s commitment to unity and development.”
The D-Unifier movement’s visit to Liberia is seen as a significant step in Dr. Konteh’s bid to become the APC flag bearer and potentially the next president of Sierra Leone.
