In an inspiring display of reaching the unreachable, the DAQVAH Charity Foundation started its implementation of its Ramadan Empty Bowl Feeding program. On the first day of Ramadan, the organization provided vital assistance to 10 households, including widows and Imams, in the Khenfilie Samu chiefdom, Kambia.

The Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, addressed the residents, emphasizing that DAQVAH is an independent Islamic charity committed to aiding those in need. “Today, we are thrilled to be here with you, providing bags of rice, bundles of water, and cash to help you observe the holy month of Ramadan,” Mr. Jalloh said.
He further explained that the funds for this initiative were gathered from the generous donations of Muslims, who were asked to contribute just Le 50 to feed a fasting person. “All we ask in return is your dua for everyone who donated, for our members, and for Allah to bless this foundation,” he concluded.
Pa Alimamy Saidu Turay, the section chief of Khenfilie Samu Chiefdom, expressed his gratitude. “Thank you for this gift as there are people in the country who has wealth but does not think of this. May Allah bless you for this charity work, especially during Ramadan, which is filled with blessings. I deeply appreciate what you have done, and I pray for the foundation,” he ended.
Shiekh Pa Adekalie Turay, the Chief Imam of Koya Village also acknowledged the foundation’s efforts, stating, “We appreciate the goodness you have shown us. Since the days of our great grandparents, we have never witnessed or received such kindness from any individual or organization during the month of Ramadan.” He added that they were so grateful and that words could not express their happiness.
The CEO, visibly moved, responded, “We are happy, and we do not seek thanks, but your appreciation and prayers keeps us motivated to do what we are doing.” He added that a 50kg bag of rice and a thousand Leones would be donated to the Masjid for cooking.
The residents offered numerous prayers for the foundation and its members, recognizing the impact of their benevolence.
