The Minister of Information and Communications, Mohamed Rahman Swaray has encouraged the public not to change what he referred to as “a competent and worthy pilot” midair. He made the appeal in reference to his call for President Julius Maada Bio’s re-election come June 2023.

The Minister did not mince his words to explain the competence of the Bio led Government, noting that no one will want to change a government that delivers on its promises to the people.

“President Bio introduced the Free Quality Education amidst doubt; he has increased access to energy from mere 16% in 2018 to about 35% in 2022. President Bio has demonstrated leadership of greater competency in troubled times, like COVID-19 and Ukraine war. With all the global economic uncertainties, the Bio led government has stood the test of times. This is evident by the UK House of Lords’ invite to President Bio to discuss leadership in troubled times.

Globally, he is among only five leaders invited by the United Nations to discuss transformation in education. Who really would want to change a pilot with such competence and no record of accident midair? So, I urge you all to consider President Bio as the only fittest man that has brought honor and respect to his people,” he pleaded, adding; “President Bio is your best pilot.”

Minister Swaray catalogued series of successes made by the Bio administration ranging from ICT, road infrastructure, health care, justice, blue economy, mining, sport and many more.

He went further to say, the successes registered by the New Direction Government showcase the high level of competence demonstrated by the Government of President Julius Maada Bio.
