The Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, Walton Dayo Gilpin, has joined global business leaders at the Ghana International Bank’s CONVERGE 2025 conference in London.
The event focused on rethinking commodity finance to support growth across Africa. It also saw the launch of a £50 million trade finance package with British International Investment, aimed at reducing the trade finance gap on the continent.
The conference came as the United Kingdom announced a new approach to partnerships with Africa. This includes plans for a new policy to build genuine and mutual relationships, as well as reforms to the Developing Countries Trading Scheme to make trade easier for African businesses.
Mr Gilpin described the event as an important platform for promoting African trade and strengthening economic ties with global partnership.
