Sierra Leone Premier League giants, East End Lions Football Club, has appointed former Defender Mohamed Didi Abu as their new Technical Director.
Abu, who is expected to help the Club regain its past glory as one of the most successful Clubs in Sierra Leone, expressed his commitment to help his former Club fulfill its aspirations in the Sierra Leone footballing make-up from his residence in the United States of America.
The Club is hoping that the 2023/24 Sierra Leone Premier League will be a better season with Didi Abu as Technical Director.
East End Lions FC won the Sierra Leone Premier League for the first time after 5 years with a 0-0 draw against their archrival Mighty Blackpool FC.
East End Lion (the Killers), went a whole season without defeat, played twenty four (24) matches, winning thirteen (13), drawing eleven and scoring thirty two (32) goals in the process.
The League recorded, 266 goals in 156 matches with East End Lions emerging top scorers with 32 goals, league top scorer, Musa N. Kamara (Tombo) accounting for 15 of them.
Champions East End Lions were presented with the giant gold customised trophy by the vice president.
