KNUST has a student population of over 42,000, and offers core science disciplines such as Engineering and Medicine, as well as courses in the Social Sciences, Land Administration, Architecture, Spatial and Development Planning, among others.

The High Commissioner indicated that there is already a lot of activities going on between Ghana and Sierra Leone and that a number of state officials have had the opportunity in the past and in contemporary times to study in Ghana.

According to the High Commissioner, KNUST is where Spatial Planning and Development in particular were pursued to Doctorate level with distinction in Africa. He added that the officials are contributing positively to the development of the country. He applauded the Government for the Free Quality Education programme and indicated that the High Commission is excited about the various initiatives of the Sierra Leone Government including the provision of a development plan and the work of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
