The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL) has expressed regret over the delay in compensating ad-hoc polling personnel for their crucial roles in ensuring a successful electoral process.

The EC-SL, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Rokel Commercial Bank (RCB) is taking swift action to rectify the situation.

EC-SL said they are currently finalising arrangements to guarantee all ad-hoc polling staff receive their rightful payments.

To facilitate the payment process, the EC-SL has established a dedicated Payment Call Center. This center will be reaching out to eligible ad-hoc polling staff to gather essential information necessary for processing payments and to provide them with relevant details about the payment process and locations.

In order to receive their payments, ad-hoc polling staff must present a valid identification document issued under the laws of Sierra Leone.

The EC-SL has expressed deep gratitude to the ad-hoc polling staff for their exceptional dedication and hard work during the elections, as well as their patience in waiting for their pay.

The Commission said with its partners, they are committed to ensuring prompt payments to all eligible personnel, while encouraging Ad-hoc polling staff members to contact the Payment Call Center at the following numbers: +232 90-077-108 or +232-90-077-109 for further assistance.
