As local acts including Yemata, Kindo Armani, Faculty, Star Zee, Drizilik, Therapist, Incredible JJ and others set to warm the stage at the 2024 ECOFEST commencing today Friday, international entertainers like Sabinus, Brain Jotter, Chike, Gyakie and others are presently in Sierra Leone.
This year’s ECOFEST titled: ‘The Illumination,’ will be commence today 20th December and will end tomorrow at the Africell Beach front, Bendu’s Drive Lumley.
Chief Executive Officer of ECOFEST, Hawawa Hawa Turay said: “ECOFEST serves not only as a focal point for cultural exchange across the African continent but also as a beacon of unity, showcasing the uniqueness and talent that makes our nation exceptional”.
ECOFEST is short for ‘ECOWAS Music Festival’, a regular appointment in the Sierra Leone festival scene that sees the participation of musician, dancers and performers from all over West Africa.
It is primarily a music festival, aiming to offer a platform to musicians of ECOWAS countries to come together and celebrate West African music and culture. Internationally acclaimed and emerging artists come together during this annual festival, making it the largest music festival in West Africa.
Tickets for ECOFEST 2024 are available at NLe200 for regular entry, NLe500 for access to the stage area and NLe2,500 for VIP seating. Early bird discounts are available for tickets purchased via Afrimoney or UBA Visa cards.
With its ambitious agenda and diverse lineup, ECOFEST 2024: The Illumination Edition promises to be a cultural extravaganza, blending entertainment with empowerment. The festival is poised to illuminate Sierra Leone’s cultural landscape and elevate its position on the African stage.
