She pointed out to her large audience that the deplorable condition of Sierra Leone military heroes and their relatives is pathetic.
According to her, “SLEMWA is a registered company established in 2018 to serve as a medium to address the concerns of ex-servicemen, their wives and their families for meaningful solutions.”
She added that currently, most families of ex-servicemen are experiencing “extreme financial and domestic difficulties, especially among war wounded ex-servicemen; with high rate of school drop-out among children of ex-servicemen.”
She went on to say that SLEMWA will strive to create employment opportunities for retired military officers; provide medical assistance to ex-servicemen and their families; offer scholarships and create business and entrepreneurship opportunities for wives and children of ex-servicemen.
