As part of preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Sierra Leone Men’s National Football Team, the Leone Stars, will engage in two high-profile test matches against this year’s Leone Rock Premier League winners, East End Lions and runners-up Bhantal FC.
Today, 5:00pm at the Approved School Field, the Leone Stars will play the Champions of the just concluded 2024-2025 Leone Rock Premier League, the East End Lions Football Club.
This will be followed by another match on the same Grounds, tomorrow 27th August, between the Leone Stars and the 2024-2025 Leone Rock Premier League runners-up, Bhantal Football Club.
These matches will also serve as solid preparation for East End Lions ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminaries and for Bhantal FC as they gear up for the CAF Confederation.
The East End Lions Football Club were officially crowned the champions of the 2024/2025 Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League on August 19, 2025. The trophy was presented to the Club at the Approved School Field in Freetown by the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Mr. Babadi Kamara.
The team, also known as ‘The Killers’, secured the title, which was sponsored by Leone Rock Metal Group, for the 2024/2025 season.
